Library in MitchelstownThe library was established in Mitchelstown in the mid to late 1930’s. It was located first in the Town Hall, and then in Lower Cork Street. When the Court House was opened in 1953, the library moved there also. Mitchelstown Library offers a range of books for lending to adults and children, including books on tape and CDs.
Internet access is available on one PC. Advance booking for this service is advisable.
Various activities are held throughout the year, including activities for the Bealtaine Festival, the Summer Arts Programme and the Children’s Book Festival.
Wednesday and Friday – 2pm-6pm.
Thursday and Saturday – 11am-1pm and 2pm-6pm.
Closed on Saturdays of Bank Holiday weekends.
