Career Planning and Personal Development Programme for Jobseekers.‘Exploring Your Options’ has been designed for individuals who are not currently working, have not worked for a long time or are coming to the end of a work activation scheme. Over four sessions, participants will explore the value of work and the effects of unemployment on themselves and on society. The programme looks at the person’s needs, interests, values, and skills in relation to work, as well as skills gaps that may need to be improved upon. The programme is wrapped up by developing an individual career path action plan for the participant with follow up supports on CV preparation and interview skills.
Module 1 – Unemployment Vs Work,
To assist participants to explore work and unemployment in society.
Module 2 – Understanding our needs, interests, values and skills,
To assist participants to understand themselves in relation to work.
Module 3 – Understanding skills and skills gaps,
To assist participants to understand skills (core, transferrable & specific) and skills gaps.
Module 4 – Career Path Planning,
To draw up an individual career path plan.
